The Moon at Night

I wrote these as individual exercises of the Flamenca poetic form, just for fun. I actually like them in a cohesive group like this. What do you think?

When I sit in the dark
Contemplating the moon
I don't see the stars
Spattered across the sky
But I see the dull roofs.

When I sit in the dark
Contemplating the moon
I see all the stars
Flecked on their black velvet
Like a fawn of the woods.

When I sit in the dark
Contemplating the moon
I think of the stars
And search through my wishes,
Ask the moon for a boon.

When I sit in the dark
Contemplating the moon
I think of the cow,
The cat and her fiddle,
And wish I had a spoon.
